SURF'S UP, DUDE!  Come be a part of Va. Beach's proud tradition as surfers compete for bragging rights at the 48th Annual Coastal Edge East CoastSurfing Championship. August 25th - 29th. The ECSC is the oldest surf contest in the nation and offers something for everyone! Professional and amateur surfing contests, skim boarding, volleyball, 8k Run, swimsuit contests, and music festivals. Basically an all-around fun beach party! A new spin on an existing festival, FunkFest celebrates the music of influential legends.  This year's FunkFest will feature Sugarfoot's Ohio Players, the Dazz Band, and ConFunkShun. Food, merchandise, and dance contests will contribute to a festive, “funky” vibe in the park!  24th St. Park  /  (757) 491-7866

FREE FIREWORKS - ALL SUMMER!

The City of Virginia Beach offers free fireworks displays throughout the summer.  They are launched from a barge off 20th Street, giving you a great view from anywhere along the boardwalk.  Please keep your pets safe and inside during fireworks.
